![]() ![]() I lived in Taiwan for a long time, and gaming in Taiwan also gets its own page if you are in Taiwan and looking for local gaming resources, please go there. Note, though, that this page doesn't include everything related to SF and RPGs. This page is divided into sections, as shown in the main menu. ![]() Dick's works The beautiful and complex Akira by Katsuhiro Otomo most of William Gibson's work many of Greg Bear's writings, especially / ( Slant) Miyazaki Hayao's works, including Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and Laputa, City in the Sky Maureen McHugh's "anti-science fiction SF" and some of Iain Banks' books. Neither has happened yet, but I'm still interested.Ī quick list of my favorite SF and RPG works includes: Blade Runner (the first movie that really caught my imagination) Philip K. I occasionally dream of going back to school for an astrophysics degree or becoming a professional RPG writer. I've been interested in science since a young age, and in gaming since I first played D&D (the box with a red dragon on it) in junior high. My own SF and RPG writings I have actually tried to write some SF and RPG material of my own. ![]() SF & Gaming Sounds Internet radio is a great source for geekish fulfillment. SF Fandom It's nice to connect with people of like mind, those who take SF and RPGs seriously. SF Lit: Movies & TV There isn't much here, mostly just links to sites about my favorite SF movies and TV series. SF Lit: Authors Various SF books and authors I read or especially like, not including manga that's on a different page. SF visual art There is some cool SF art out there that isn't really manga or about starships. Starships Starship-related pages deserve special mention here, as they are a personal favorite of mine. Actual science Sometimes, RPGs have led me to actually learn some things. Worldbuilding Creating worlds is a lot of fun. Lego Minis They're not cheap, but they are incredibly cool. Cheap Minis What to use when you can't afford paint & lead. Finding Players Where do you go to find fellow gamers? Solo Games When you can't find players, and computer-based won't do. Other Games Board games, card games, non-RPGs of many types. Other RPGs Other games I've owned or played. Swordbearer My second love in fantasy RPGs, Swordbearer is hugely innovative but unfortunately obscure. Hârn Hârn, the game, is by far my favorite RPG system Hârn, the setting, is one of the best commercial gaming worlds. Hard SF RPGs Hard science fiction roleplaying games have been my main RPG interest for several years. On this page: RPGs in General My how and why of roleplaying. ![]()
